About Living Waters Church
Living Waters Church are a group of people who, together, are discovering what it means to live as followers of Jesus in a way that is relevant to the world we live in. We believe that by sharing our lives and serving other people we can co-operate with Gods plan to change the world.
We think that church is more of a lifestyle than an event or a building, so we try to look for ways to relate our everyday lives to following Jesus. We hope that as we live and work and meet with friends we can find ways to be creative, to express compassion and to build community. We believe Jesus accepts everyone as they are and we aim to do the same.
We believe the collection of stories, poetry, historical accounts and letters that are known as the Bible are inspired by God and value the encouragement and help that they bring. We are convinced that there is real hope for wholeness in ourselves, in others and in the whole creation through who Jesus is and what he offers.
Our gatherings are at different times and for various reasons. We might join together for a meal, form a work party to help a friend or spend time learning, singing or sharing together. We will often meet in small groups, to talk about our lives and experiences of following Jesus. Those in the 11 to 15 age group also regularly get together to discuss issues and have some fun.
We also support the work of HANDS, a charity working with poor and disadvantaged communities in
Northern Thailand
, with gifts of money, time and short term teams that go to
Thailand
to work with various projects.
